COOK ISLANDS
On most world maps our island nation consisting of 15 islands is hard to spot,
maybe a bunch of tiny specks around 20 deg. South and 169 deg. east surrounded
by millions of square miles of Pacific Ocean. Once you are here with us you are
going to enjoy the fact that you could not hardly get any further from the rest of
the world.

RAROTONGA
Raina Lagoon Villas is located in the village
"Arorangi" (yellow arrow above) on Rarotonga, Cook Islands. Rarotonga
is the main Island of the 15 Cook Islands and the only one that features a
fringing coral reef, a beautiful lagoon AND soaring peaks clad in lush
vegetation, deep valleys and countless streams. The rich volcanic soil
nurtures an extensive range of plants, vegetables, crops and fruits. It is
also the main population center, yet it is not crowded nor urbanized and it
may very well be the cleanest place you have ever seen.
A coastal road completely encircles the island, another one (Ara Metua)
intermittently runs further inland and is well worth being traveled at least
once. The rugged interior of Rarotonga lies uninhabited and is clad in dense
jungle. There is a spectacular cross island walk.
Rarotonga is surrounded by sandy beaches which is right at our doorstep.
The island enjoys a very balmy climate. DO NOT forget your swimming gear and
suntan lotion!
